Skills to Build in Advanced Manufacturing

The Skills to Build in Advanced Manufacturing program is a skills training program to help you gear up to get a traditional educational certificate or degree and can be combined with ways to earn while you learn by utilizing work-based learning, on-the-job training, internships, and more. Get started on your career pathway to train for a high-demand job in Renewable Energy, Transportation, or Broadband Infrastructure.

  • Eligibility will be confirmed at enrollment. Eligible participants are

    - Over 17 years old and not enrolled in high school

    - Have a High School Diploma or equivalent

    - Underemployed, unemployed, or have a job in at a qualifying location working with WOW Works on Incumbent Worker Training

    - Reside in Kenosha, Ozaukee, Racine, Milwaukee, Walworth, Washington, or Waukesha County

    - Be eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Once you are enrolled, you will connect with your personal career coach to help you navigate the training options available for you to grow your career. The length of the program depends on what career path you decide to explore.

    This program covers some or all of the costs associated with

    - training and education for eligible jobs

    - career coaching, mentorship, and networking

    - connections to employers

    - work based learning, on-the-job training, internships, paid work experiences

    - materials needed for your career, transportation or childcare support, and other supportive services
