Prepare for the Job Fair (JCW Virtual Workshop)

Job Center of Wisconsin VIRTUAL WORKSHOP

Prepare for the Job Fair

A job fair is a catch-all event where you can meet employers and ask questions about the company culture, the benefits package, and the opportunities for promotion or more training. Some job fairs focus on a single industry and others on job openings in a single zip code or county. These days, job fairs happen both inperson and online. This one-hour workshop is about all the ways that you can make your attendance at the job fair a valuable part of your job search. The first step is to prepare! And you'll get a few tips for participating on a virtual job fair platform – including posting a resume, recording your elevator speech, and communicating in the employer's booth.
